~Importing Consent and Queries

Options
It appears there is no way we can import all our consents under GDPR - it is impossible to manually add all 28K who are replying to our campaign - when will ths be available.  We are also unable to query against this.

  • Hi Jacquie, the ability to query and import consent records is going to be released in patch 9, which Blackbaud are currently slating for release in March/April as far as I'm aware.
  • Thanks Alan, just been told by BB that it will be in Patch 10 late March - apparently Patch 9 is an internal release

I just got word today that the ability to query consent tables wouldn't come out until June. I hope April is more than likely.

  • Thanks for the update. I sincerely hope it's released before June; I've been holding off on working the consent module into our processes for recording communication preferences until I know how I'm going to be able to report on them...

    Hello everyone,

Do you know if there have been any updates on the release date for this?

Thank you in advance for your help!

    Hello everyone,

I did get a notification the other day that maintenance required to upgrade RE to patch 10 has been postponed, it was due to be released last week (5th April). Unless I missed another email since, i haven't seen an updated date provided. Please can this be communicated to people, as this functionality is vital.

I've just been told the 26th April - just so you know!

  • Hello,

Is there any update on this? The Patch 10 is out with only one fix 116043 Adding historical Consent overwrites current Solicit Codes. We are in GDPR now and still have no options to import or query?

    Thanks

    Tom

We installed Patch 10 last week.

The mostly good news is that:  You can Import and Query on Consent records.

(You might want to save these screenshot as documentation for now.)

    Import:
    14fdb9981e8ea68cf7aa71983b6cb5d9-huge-co

    Query:
    8928575b5d2072094d4ea4d801c0ae7f-huge-co

The only downside is, as far as I can tell, you cannot export them-- at least when I searched a constituent export for "consent", I came up with nothing.

The same happened when I tried the help file:
    6e4d48969a6927b0888cae51579bca03-huge-co

I think the problem is that, traditionally, patches were minor updates not needing updates to documentation, and not needing much of a write-up in the patch readme.

But if I understand correctly, Blackbaud will, from now on, just be issuing patches, and no longer be issuing major updates.  That's fine except they need to also actually let us know when the add features-- and, ideally, they should maintain relevant sections of the help file and RE7schema.chm as well.

    Hi

You may already know his as it's been a while, but you can export using Import - Create Import File.

Just tested it out as we only just ran the patch upgrade at the weekend.

    THanks

    Lisa
