Exporting MG-Pay Cash and then seeing the date of the Original MG Pledge

Hi all!  I'm trying to export all MG-Pay Cash in a certain time period and then see the dates that the MG Pledge was originally made.  I believe the Matching Gift Report is counting both pay-cash applied to MG Pledges made in that time period as well as to older pledges.  If I can pull a list of all MG Pay-Cash in the time period and delete those that are being applied to MG pledges that are not in my time period I believe it will add up to the inflated number showing on Matching Gift Report.


Basically I can't figure out how to get a list of MG-Pay Cash that has the date of the original  pledge in another column.  Do we know if this is possible?

The structure of the RE database works from the original Gift (Pledge) down to the payments.  Trying to work back up that chain from the payment to the original Pledge is very difficult without direct SQL access to the database.  I've done it before in Crystal Reports, but it requires exporting EVERY possible Pledge and all related payments then finding the payment you want and working back up the chain.

I admit, I don't work with matching gifts, but I don't understand why you wouldn't be able to see the original date of the pledge and then the mg pay-cash associated.

When your in the export tool, under "gifts"' there is the matching gifts table.  If you exported the field for "Gift Date" entered the dates you want to see and choose the type of gift as the MG Pledge and then

choose gift date field again, choose your dates and then MG Pay-Cash as the gift type, would this not give you what you want?
