LO Profile Redesigns

Options
Would anyone like to share how they have updated their Luminate Online profiles for their constituents? It is on our list of to dos this year, along with the service center, and would love to see what others have already accomplished. In addition, examples of possible entry pages into the profile/service centers.

While we all check out each other's Team Raisers and donation pages, harder to see the other pages until you make a gift.

Thanks in advance,

Karen

  • Hi Karen,

We are in the habit of updating our service center roughly quarterly. Here is a screenshot of it currently.

  • That looks
    awesome, Nick!

  • Thanks for sharing. Looks really nice, clean and clearly your brand. You and your team always do nice work.
  • We have a simple "My Account" page which organizes the main profile areas and other key actions into tiles with hyperlinks. The tiles appear dynamically as relevant, so if you have an active recurring/sustainer gift, for example, you'll see a tile with links to manage the gift in the service center, otherwise, this tile is hidden.  There is also an alerts section which will appear at the top when there is important information which needs to be collected from the user.  The tiles stack on mobile devices.  And the code is simple to maintain.  Don't hesitate with questions. Screenshots below!

PS: Note that the eNews signup block is just part of the footer for this wrapper, which is the basic wrapper for our site - it is NOT a specific call-to-action for the My Account area. :)

    Basic Account:

For a user with an active "birthday" TR fundraiser registration.

    Complex Account:

For a user with an active recurring gift, volunteer job, crowdfunding project, and 4 TR registrations (two of which are test TRs, so don't judge, haha). This account also has an active dynamic alert with an action link for the recurring gift credit card expiration.

  • Tanna - Thanks so much for sharing. These are awesome screen shots with some really good ideas. I don't have any questions now but certainly may later. Thanks!
  • I wrote our Service Center a few years ago. Here it is in our brand new pagewrapper. I might still remove that sidebar on this page and make a few other tweaks.

The APIs allow you to get a lot more than the stock SC shows. The three transaction types are separate API calls, so it made a lot of sense to present them that way.

I have a lot of test transactions, so it isn't this crowded for most users.

It's all responsive, so here's the Mobile View:

Here's the view of a recurring gift. If it wasn't canceled there would be links to edit the payment details, cancel, etc. (I don't happen to have an open gift.) The edit payment dialogs are just similar modals on top of this one.

Our User Profile isn't too exciting, but Tanna sure gave me some inspiration.

  • Thank you Brian.

I am certainly inspired with everything I have seen so far. We have a lot to do!

    Hi Karen,

Our team at DNL OmniMedia has developed a custom Luminate Online Member Center. The solution offers complete customization of the look and feel of the users' account management pages, while still maintaining performance optimizations and improving the ease of use.

    DNL Custom Features:
View and manage ongoing Recurring Gifts:

    a. Edit gift amount and next gift date

    b. Edit billing information for each gift

    View and edit Profile Information

    a. Name, phone numbers, addresses, username, password

    Manage Email / Web Interests

    a. Opt-in or out of Email (newsletters) & Web Interests (content categories)

    TeamRaiser

    a. View all current TeamRaiser Events

    b. Provide links to the fundraiser’s Participant Center, Event Fundraising Homepage, Personal Page, Team Page and Event Management Center (where applicable)

    Transactions

    a. View all the donor’s transaction history (One-time Donations, Recurring Donations, eCommerce Purchases, Ticketed Events, and TeamRaiser Registrations)

    b. Ability to filter the history by transaction year

    Advocacy

    a. View all available Advocacy Actions

    b. Split into two categories: Advocacy actions taken and not taken yet.

Beyond these features, we also need to highlight the fact that the Member Center is extremely customizable. Everything can be changed (from functionality to style to user flow and navigation). Any features that Blackbaud provides that aren’t currently in the Member Center can be added on. It is extremely flexible.

    Blackbaud Standard Features:
    • View and edit personal details (very little control over how it works without extreme Javascript intervention).
    • View transaction information summary (last transaction, date, lifetime giving, number of lifetime transactions, external first gift and external last gift)
    • Membership information (status, member since, member ID, renewal date, membership type (with the ability to edit), and expiration date of membership)
    • Sustained giving info (status, monthly amount, start date, end date, card expiration date, last payment attempt failure code, intervals since last successful payment, gift plans eligible for processing)

    Management of Custom Profile Fields
    Email / Web Interests

    a. Similar to our member center (but with less flexibility as for how it works, and looks, etc.)

    Service Center for Sustained Giving

    a. View gift summaries for gifts including canceled gifts

    b. View gift information for all gifts including canceled gifts

    c. Modify gift date, gift amount, and billing information

We are happy to schedule a demo at any time! You can email me directly at megan.mabe@dnlomnimedia.com.

We also have additional resources and information on our website, here

    Thanks,

    Megan Mabe

  • Hi @Tanna Lewis , your profile center is great! I noticed in your conference presentation that you were using an S1:sustained_card_expiration_date to alert people of a lapsed credit card. I'm wondering where you were able to find out information about this tag. I've been searching the BB docs and haven't found anything about the S1:sustained_card_expiration_date specifically.
    Thank you!!
