Relationship Constituent IDs

Yes, this can be done, but you'll have to hack the query a bit and it requires some initial setup in Config and you'll need to use Global Change. Here's how to do it.


Go into Configuration -> Addressees/Salutations and create a new Additional Addr/Sal that contains only the Constituent Id. Next, you'll have to use Global Change to add your Additional Addr/Sal to each constituent record. Finally, in your Relationship query, under Individuals, select Specific Addr/Sal and choose the one you created. Note that although I've placed a red square around Primary Addressee in my screenshot below, you'll expand Specific Addressee/Salutation to find your newly created Additional Addressee/Salutation that contains the Constituent Id.


I wouldn't recommend doing this. It's a lot of work to place an additional Addr/Sal on all of your records simply to complete this one task and for constitency you'll want to add this additional Addr/Sal to new records as you create them. Point being, if you absolutely have to have this functionality it can be done and this is one way. There may be others.



 

For the Spouse, you can find [Constituent ID] in the available fields, so if you're only looking for Spouse IDs (if the Spouse has a full record), then look under the [Spouse] Fields rather than [Relationships].


The pros and cons of the options:

[Alias]

must be added with Import

cannot easily be removed if you need to do so later

works for both Individual and Organization Relationships

must be maintained with a Query to find records without the Alias and an Import to add it (not available in a Default Set)

[Additional Addressee/Salutation]

can be added with Global Add or Global Change (which can be saved for future use) or Import (although that's a bit complicated)

can be deleted with Global Change

works only for Individual Relationships (Organization Records do not have Addr/Sals)

can be included in a Default Set if you already use one when creating new records or can be maintained with a Query and Global Change


So no perfect solution any way you look at it, unfortunately.  A third option is as a Phone (Phone Number Type = Other), but probably only if you cannot use either of the above options for some reason.
