Multiple entries by one registrant/email in LO/TR - does anyone have a solution?

Options
  1. Pain point – solution needed: Our registrants would like to be able to go back days later and add another person if they are paying for them, without having to falsify information or create another login.
    1. Scenario:  If a person who registers (after using their email, username, and password) and completes their transaction needs to  add another person – namely a child who does not have an email – they are unable to do so w/o creating a fake email and login information when registering them.
    2. Reason:  Our volunteers and we are hearing more and more complaints from their registrants that LO/TR is not user friendly.  Our registrants would like the ability to register as many people as they wish, even if it is days later,  without having to falsify information or create another login.
      1. Is there a way to do this that is NOT part of the standard process of registration? Something another one of your clients is doing?
      2. Or a method with eCommerce that is feasible?
      3. Or a means to allow a person to make multiple transactions in the same TR, even after they complete the previous transaction?

  • There's an allow-duplicate-email setting for Teamraiser. The default is to allow duplicates with secondary registrations only. I'd contact support and see if that can be loosened further to simply allow duplicates, period.

  • Brian - where would I find this setting?  Is it in the individual TR or in Setup?  Specifically, where would I find this to alter and test?

    Thanks for the help!

    Follow up:  In Site Options|Teamraiser:

    F2F_ENFORCE_UNIQUE_NAME_AND_EMAIL:

More precisely limits creation of duplicate records in TeamRaiser registrations. Should be set to TRUE unless it creates a problem.

We have it presently set to FALSE, but if someone attempts to register a second time, using the same email, it gives a message saying this person has already registered.  We turned off the requirement to have a unique email for the secondary registration, but this Site Option should be for the Primary, right?  Am I understanding this properly?
  • It's a Site Option that is hidden from us, so you'll need to contact support to make this change. (And to see if you even can loosen it further.)

Edit: That could be the one. But there are many that we can't see. I'd contact support to see what options they have to say.
