Organizational Log-ins for BBNC

Options
I am looking to see if anyone has any tips/tricks/best practices for being able to work with organizational log-ins. I may be out of the loop a bit as I haven't really investigated it for a few years but last I knew BBNC didn't really support Org log-ins, even though they had something of a part of handle it.

We have around 60 agency endowments who currently have log-ins by way of RE "dummy records" which we have created as individuals so we can link to BBNC log-ins and these dummy records have relationships to the proper Agency Organization record. It is all very messy and frequently changes don't get pushed through to both records.

Perhaps thingas have changed now and BBNC supports org log-ins in a more robust way. Otherwise any genius hacks people have would be much appreciated.

  • Hi Nick-

We too have been using the org login for several years now, set up with dummy records probably much like you have.  I'm not aware of any upgrades to functionality, so would love to hear too if anything has been changed recently because it is not that robust.  What kind of changes in your records don't get pushed through to both records? We probably have over a thousand set up this way, so maybe we've run across your issue too.

  • Nick - This is one of our favorite topics, right Cheryl? Over the years, some foundations have pushed Blackbaud to provide a true 'organization log-in' function but have never gotten anywhere. So right now there's this workaround approach requiring creation of these placeholder individual records. We'll see if the newly formed Blackbaud/MicroEdge group within Blackbaud will address this shortcoming and provide better functionality here not requiring creation of fake records?
