This question comes from Cathy Kaiser:

"I have an event for bowling teams. One person registers the team, and then can fill in the team member's information. I want a box for the team name, but when I include an attribute it asks for the team name of all six participants individually. Is there another way to allo them to enter the team name one time?"


Let's help Cathy capture that team name more efficiently!

    You could always add instructions for them to place the team name under the Comments box. Or, make it a non-required Attribute field.


    However, the big question is how you plan to pull the data later on. In our Walk/Run events, we need to export our participant lists for the chip-timing contractor, and he requests the team name listed for each individual in the team. That means the team name needs to be a field on each participant's record. If the registrant does not enter this information on his sign-up form, it is up to your data entry person to enter that instead. To my knowledge, there is no auto-fill feature on the form that will autofill subsequent fields based on the first registrant's entry.

    Faith, thanks for your reply.  I have searched all over the registration form and don't see how to add a comment box!  Can you point me in the right direction?  Thanks!!
