Event Registration through Net Community

We have setup a fundraising event registration page in Net Community that is mainly for companies. Unfortunately, when we try to process them through the NC plugin in RE, it requires us to link both the constituent as well as the company. Unfortunately, we are finding that the individuals that are registering for the companies are many times clerical staff that have no relationship to our university so we don't need them as constituents in RE. It sounds like Net Community is not user friendly when it comes to gifts and/or event registrations for companies, which defies logic, in my opinion, and is very frustrating!

Any work-arounds that others have created to solve this problem?

We run into that with Membership. The best thing I have found is once you have gottten into the gift batch itself, change the donor/constituent to be the org and then change the individual relationship with the org to non-constituent and delete the individual constituent record.

Pat! Our batch actually has the org name, so at least that
worked! We just have a constituent record that will need to
be deleted!
