INVALID EMAILS REPORT NEEDS FIXING

I just found out that the "systen id" in the invalid emails report from email messages isn't the same as the "constiuent id" in Raiser's Edge. This means we can't globally fix RE records and worse than that there was no warning that they weren't the same thing so when we did a "global change" of records using the "system ids" we incorrectly labelled 2500 DONORS as having invalid emails and stopped talking to them.


Since Invalid ID's aren't emailed we can't query on the accounts in RE to find these people which leaves manual cross-referencing by email search.


If the queries can get pulled in and can link to the records then we NEED a way to find out which records require updating through the report function.

  • Where do you find the invalid email report in NetComm?

    The Invalid Email report can be found by click on email and then the "invalid accounts" button which should be at the bottom left of the options. It will look like the below:

    I wish the constituent ID was included on any of the exported results from an email.  I also tire of having to write formulas to match the email addresses to constituent ids in the original list that was created prior to import.
