Is there a way to set up approval before a personal page is created?

Options
I know there is an option for people to sign up and have their page marked as Private until an admin has approved it to go public, but I am looking to see if there is a way to have someone complete a TR registration and before a page is created for them and they have access to a participant center, that an admin would have to approve them.

We are looking at this specifically for events in which high-profile people are participating and we want to prevent people who are inappropriate for participation in the event to register.  Currently, we have potential participants complete a survey, we review and approved their participation and then manually register them through the Admin portal.

Has anyone else had this situation or tried something other than manually registering approved participants?

  • Once our people register, they automatically get a link to their personal page to set it up.  We don't approve their pages.  We trust them to not be reckless.  You can do this in your teamraiser settings.  Go to edit and #3 on the left Select Event Options.  #1 Personal Page Customization.  Check the first box participants can design and custtomize their own personal pages.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi Patti,

For the most part, we trust our folks as well. We have one specific event that we need to approve people prior to their participation so we conduct background checks for the safety of other participants and residents of the facility where the events are held.

  • Hi Ryan,

Thanks for your explanation of personal page approvals. If I check #3 & #9 in the Advanced Event Options, will the individual registrant have access to their participant center upon registration? Or do they only receive access once an admin has approved the draft of their personal page?
