Scheduled emails for donor anniversary

I would love some help!  I was tasked to set up automated emails that would go to new donors on the first donation anniversary.  I found this wonderful article http://www.blackbaudknowhow.com/the-raisers-edge/how-to-send-automated-birthday-cards-in-blackbaud-netcommunity.htm that walks me thru the steps, but I don't have any buttons in Net Community to select a new scheduled email.  Are there different versions of Net Community?  Why do others have this function and we don't?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I believe having access to scheduled emails depends upon your "flavor" of NetCommunity. It's my experience that Spark doesn't have that feature but NetCommunity Grow & Pro does. One small caviat - it could be your permissions/role doesn't have access to scheduled email.  If you can verify that you indeed have Scheduled emails in your version of NetCommunity, then check your role/task groups to make sure you're in the right role to have that access. I attached a screenshot of the task group permissions you'd need.

  • You'll need the person who determine roles for NetCommunity users in your organization to give you access to create new scheduled emails.  Once you have access, you'll see that the button becomes visible. I know your post was from a while ago. Did you ever figure this out?  I'm interested in using this feature for both birthday emails and monthly donor anniversary emails.
