Making the Most of Your Event Form Part 2: Using Bill Me Later

Do you have an upcoming event where registrants will be paying at the door?  Would you like to be able to capture the registrant’s information without making them purchase their ticket on the NetCommunity website?  The Event Registration Form allows us to enable the “Bill Me Later” option in order to collect the registrant details and process them into the Raiser’s Edge without collecting payment for the event.


To enable the “Bill Me Later” option, we will first need to log into the NetCommunity website as an administrative user.  From there, we can navigate to our Event Form, and select to Edit the form:

Within the Event Editor window, we will need to scroll down to the payment options.  Here we can select to allow only Credit Card transactions, only Pledges, or we can enable both.

Once the Pledge (Bill Me Later) option is enabled, we can click to Save the Form.  Moving forward, when registrants go through the sign up process, they will still complete the registration fields as well as any additional information fields that the organization would like to collect, but will also see the option to pay later.

When the Bill Me Later box is checked, the final screen (step 3) of the registration process will require that all billing information be completed, so that the registrant can be contacted if needed at a later time.  Note that no payment information is needed.
