Blackbaud eTapestry® Webinars Springing into Action This April!

Options
April is the month when everything seems to start to thaw. It also means it's time to really get back into the SPRING of things. I've got some webinars for you this month that I'm excited about, and I also have an appeal to make to all of you.Hello, fellow eTapestry users. Geoff here. I hope the first part of the year has been good to you and I hope you survived one of the coldest winters I can remember in my nearly half-century on this planet. Let's hope spring warms our bones (and manages to stick around before things get too hot this summer).

April is going to be a really busy month for eTapestry webinars, and that's what I'm writing to you about today. First off, I hope everyone is aware of the page we have called Blackbaud eTapestry Insider Tips and Tricks. This is where you can register for all the webinars that are coming up for eTapestry. Now, if you've already clicked that link, you'll probably find what I'm about to advertise below to be very similar to what you read there, but I hope you do sign up for these upcoming webinars. I love sharing my expertise and I also love answering your questions (both in the more topical webinars as well as the Ask the Expert sessions that follow up on those topics).

But here's what's in store for April's slate of webinars:

Combining and Comparing Query Results with Compound Queries in Blackbaud eTapestry

.

Oh boy... This is a topic I get asked about a lot when I work with eTapestry customers. Dealing with regular queries is one thing, but needing to create compound queries? I get why this can be confusing to some and create complications. This is a session I did last year and it is back by popular demand. These queries allow you to combine, intersect, or subtract results found in two different queries. We'll go through these types of queries and sort out some best practices to help make your compound queries as easy and accurate as possible the first time.

This session will be on April 2, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET.

You will also have the opportunity to attend an Ask the Expert session about Compound Queries on April 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET.

Keeping a Clean eTapestry Database - Tips to Keep in Mind

.

There's an old saying in database administration: "garbage in, garbage out." I know that it's really easy to accumulate duplicate accounts or outdated addresses for donors, causing pause to rethink how you will manage data in eTapestry. Well, this session is going to give you some tips to consider when it comes to managing your data and keeping a clean database.

You can attend this session on April 16th, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET.

A follow-up Ask the Expert webinar will happen one week later on April 23 at 1:00 PM ET.

In May, you will also find a session about Standard Reports that you can already sign up for now. This rolls off of the idea to present some of my favorites (like I have on the blog the last couple of weeks), as well as introduce a few others that are incredibly beneficial to users as well. That session is already on the sign up page so if you want to sign up, go right for it!

Also, remember that if you sign up for a webinar and ultimately cannot attend, that's quite alright! You will still be able to listen to the recording of the sessions. An email reminding you that you have that option is sent the following day after the completion of the webinar.

Now, before I close out this blog, I have a special appeal to make to all of you reading. I come to you with my hat in my hand and requesting some ideas. Specifically, I would love to hear what you would like to see in future eTapestry Webinars. It doesn't matter if it is a topic I've done before; I want to hear your suggestions. I can always come up with concepts and ideas for webinars, but I don't always know exactly what the attendees would like to hear. Don't get me wrong, people still attend and seemingly enjoy the content, but I would love to hear if there are any specific concepts or ideas that you've missed out on or have never seen be tackled in a webinar. I'm up for the challenge so hit me with your best ideas!

I look forward to seeing you in April at the webinars and am very intrigued to hear your suggestions for future webinars. Until next time, keep on eTappin' on!
