@Crystal Bruce I will admit that we don't use registration forms at my organization as well primarily use it to report on constituent attendance. Most of our events are smaller and intimate, and generally very curated and not necessarily ticketed.

  • @Crystal Bruce Being able to have a free fee, as well as assigning a Constituent Code to registrants.

That we do not need to embed the form on our website, but can just use a link! To say that we get registration form requests, umm, late, ? makes getting up and running easier.

  • @Crystal Bruce
the registration forms seem like a great way to sort event attendees with minimal backend work.

  • @Crystal Bruce Ease of use but admittedly we use the forms in our email platform. Something to get our administration to review.

  • @Crystal Bruce using our first registration form ever for a brand new event for this year. Set up of registration form was easy and intuitive. In fact, literally got our very first registration form response while typing this so now I'll be testing out gift entry in NXT for the first time today as well.

  • @Crystal Bruce this is a carryover from task 1, but I love the ability to capture those who are unable to attend with the registration form. It's especially helpful for free events.

  • @Crystal Bruce
The new option for a participant to decline has been great for us to be able to segment them out from additional emails meant to drive attendance.

  • @Crystal Bruce The events form was intuitive to use. The vast majority of our events are free, so it is great that we can hide the payment section on free events. It would be a good addition to be able to edit the “Pay Securely” button as well.

  • @Crystal Bruce It improves our efficiency because it is right in the NXT event summary; it's easy to find.

  • @Crystal Bruce My favorite function is the ability to automatically download registrations instead of manually adding them. I like the a la carte features so attendees can pick and choose what they want on the same registration form.

    @Crystal Bruce
Ability to specify CFAP (campaign fund appeal package) on additional donation

If I can add what was great but got removed (hoping BB puts it back): Limit capacity on FORM level.

New to using any RE events. So far the biggest hang up has been figuring out how to gather information for all of those who are coming if multiple individuals are invited per family. Is there a way to collect information for two adults per family without requiring two names if only one is coming? For example, I have the registration set for two people but only one is coming so they have to fill out “N/A” for the name of the second registrant.

Would love to know how others are dealing with this!

@Crystal Bruce We currently still use OLX, but in creating a test one - I really the registration options, especially being able to check that they can't attend. I also like that you can select specific appeals or packages in addition to the fund, plus the standalone URL is great.

  • @Crystal Bruce Despite their imperfections and tendency to create duplicate records, we love the event registration forms ? It's already hard to imagine how we lived without them ? Our favorites are automatic processing, notification to chosen email addresses, event summary (it would be great to get more opportunities for its customization, however!)

  • @Crystal Bruce we currently don't use RE NXT or OLX registration forms for our paid events, but I am hoping we will in the near future.

@Dan Snyder I'll second this one! Love being able to just use a link - and also for the same reason! ?

@Crystal Bruce - Capabilities around free events, associating C/F/A with forms, and the ability to easily copy a form.

  • @Crystal Bruce
Answered this in question one I think - read the question!! However, love the new forms. Would prefer we didn't get unmatched people as new records but it is the only bug bear and we can sort it out. More Decline functionality would be nice.

  • @Crystal Bruce, I would love it if you could add custom questions to obtain information from the registrant. We have used a “free event” as an interest form. We embedded the link into the webpage, and then the contact information for those individuals goes directly into RE, and it is super easy to convert them to constituents after we follow up on their response.

  • @Crystal Bruce I used to create my event in database view first and then go to webview to add the registration form. I now am very comfortable doing everything in webview, which is a huge timesaver! There are still some bugs (duplicate constituent entry, for one) that will hopefully be worked out sooner than later!

  • @Crystal Bruce I liked the ability to update the maximum amount of each ticket level that is available for each participant to purchase. This makes it easier to ensure that all our guests have the chance to buy tickets without the risk of selling out.

  • @Crystal Bruce I like that donors can use the event form to donate without first registering for a unit.

@Crystal Bruce I like that the Style options are grouped so you only have to update the changes in one place and it affects the entire form.

  • @Crystal Bruce Being able to have online registration for events saved a ton of time, and I love being able to track/document expenses, logos, etc all in one place.

  • @Crystal Bruce being able to copy participant options from other events was great. It's a shame you can't copy registration forms.

  • @Crystal Bruce My organization doesn't use RE NXT events for our event registration. Our problem has been figuring out how to gather information for all of those who are coming under one registrant/sponsor. For Example: if a company sponsors and event and get's 16 seats - how do we collect all guest names? If sponsor knows all guests and their conect information upfront it's great - but if they don't I can't figure out a solution on how to allow the sponsor primary contact to make changes/update guests. They only way to do so is for an organization employee to manually update. That adds so much extra time on our staff that we simply don't have to spare. There are other event management tools out there that do allow this. Is there a way to collect information like this that I am unaware of?

Would love to hear from others!

  • @Crystal Bruce
I;m not sure if this function was there before or not - but adding an email nregistrant options to help with duplicate matching for guests will be really helpful moving forward.

  • @Crystal Bruce
Setting up the registration form was pretty intuitive if you have already been using Online Donation Forms in NXT. I like the ease of checking options on Registration types including registering as an Organization and whether or not they can register as unknown. It did not look like you could add a custom logo or any other image file to the registration form itself? I would strongly suggest that be added unless I just missed it somewhere?

  • @Crystal Bruce
The ability to associate C/F/A with forms, and a streamlined form duplication process. These improvements significantly simplify event setup and save valuable time.
