Download All Files not working for linked files

I have opened a case with BB, but since I cannot confirm how it worked before…

A teacher reported they cannot use the ‘Download All Files' option under the More menu when viewing an Assignment. The students submitted their work as linked Google docs. When they select the command, a .zip file is created, but it is empty. The teacher assures me they have done this successfully in the past, but the initial response from BB Support was to upload the files versus linking them.

Can anyone confirm this command worked in the past for linked files?
