Fundraiser Gift Credits Question

Options

Is there a way to disabled automatic Fundraiser Gift Credits for a particular Fundraiser Type, or even just for a given donor?

@Mark Zigadlo I don't think so, at least in the way I'm reading your question.

Allow me to restate your question for clarification. I think you're asking if a particular type of fundraiser would not populate in the gift automatically. So, something like Volunteer or Secondary would be excluded from the window automatically. I don't know if that functionality exists. If you are batching gifts in DB view, it might be worthwhile to use the constituent window to show some of those fields in case you need to remove someone's gift credit.

Thank you Dariel. You did restate my question properly.

My main pain point right now are DAF gifts. The only way I can see to give credit to fundraisers is have each fundraiser assigned to the DAF org, and then do some monthly cleanup for gifts from donors without a fundraiser.

you do not need the assign solicitor/fundraiser relationship in order to give gift solicitor/fundraiser credit. however, you do need this constituent (getting credit) to be a fundraiser/solicitor.

  • Thank you @Alex Wong for pointing me in this direction…

When you manually search for and select a fundraiser to give credit to, RE wants to automatically add a fundraiser relationship. This is what the Gift Processing team has been doing by default.

Answering No, applies the credit to the fundraiser but skips the assignment.

I am “pretty sure” this alert can be turned off from config or admin, don't remember for sure though. maybe others can comment on that.

@Mark Zigadlo Yes, you need to retrain your gift processing team to answer no to that pop-up.

Now that I think of it, I don't think I've ever answered Yes to that pop-up at all. The answer for me has always been no.
