The Database Administrator manages the donor database and information systems for World Villages for Children.

Summary of Responsibilities

The Database Administrator will work strategically with the team to uphold the integrity and health of donor data in support of organizational accountability and stewardship. The role will hold primary responsibility for database maintenance, guide data entry, reporting, and other duties necessary. This position will provide data input and reporting support to the entire development team in support of fundraising goals. Only candidates with previous Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge experience will be considered.

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience working with Raiser’s Edge and RE NXT.
  • Omatic, Blackbaud Merchant Services, and Financial Edge experience highly desired.
  • Technically skilled with Microsoft Office suite, specifically MS Excel pivot reports, formulas, and data parsing.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is desired.
  • Additional experience in general IT, and website utilities a plus.

Roles and Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for managing and reporting on all aspects of the donor database. This includes uploading caging daily imports, reporting metrics, analyzing trends, performing detailed list selects, developing reports, record maintenance, and generating and managing multiple complex lists.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining a relationship with an external caging operation. Also, ensure the internal integrity of processes to collect, enter, store, and access donor data as requested.
  • Ensure the timely import, entry, and acknowledgment of all donor-related data into the donor database.
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy and cultivating a culture of data health for the organization.
  • Ensuring accurate entry of donor and prospect-related data and conducting regular analysis and reporting to identify needs for further data clean up.
  • Conduct regular data integration between donor database and financial database.
  • On-demand creation of standard and customized reports that include donor information, including but not limited to donor segmentation, mailing lists, monthly reporting, weekly and monthly maintenance, demographic data, financial donation data, and prospect data for a wide variety of marketing, communication, and donation solicitation projects.
  • Schedule, design and conduct ongoing training of development staff (including new employee onboarding) in the basics of interacting with the donor database specifically for their role.
  • Responsible for bringing in outside training resources as needed in addition to providing in-house training.
  • Attend training opportunities for continuing education.

Pay and Benefits:

  • Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
