DEVELOPMENT SERVICES COORDINATOR

This person will provide donor stewardship management and support of Signal Centers’ development activities and functions including the donor CRM; receipting and acknowledging donor gifts; data reports and reconciling with accounting and assisting with campaigns and special events.

Among Signal Centers’ 13 programs, seven rely on local fundraising efforts. This newly created position has been designed to meet the growth of the agency’s development function, and will work with the CMDO, CEO and Senior Development Officer to attract, cultivate, and steward donors who seek to foster lifelong independence for individuals with disabilities, children, and families.

Responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities:
The incumbent supports and assists the Chief Marketing & Development Officer (CMDO) in all aspects of organizational advancement including resource development and donor stewardship including, but not limited to the following:

  • Provide general development assistance to the CMDO:
  • Manage the day-to-day donor services including ensuring excellent donor database integrity, accurate mailing lists, dynamic donor profiles and other documents and records in support of the development function.
  • Manage the Donor Stewardship Specialist who serves as the primary gift entry and donor acknowledgement processor.
  • Oversee the preparation of donor correspondence to expand the Center’s individual and corporate donor prospects.
  • Prepare reports and other documents relating to development for Executive Staff, the Finance Committee, and the Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate the implementation of annual development plans and special campaigns.
  • Assist the Director of Events with invitation lists, sponsorship tracking, and committee meetings.

2. Manage and implement donor stewardship activities including:

  • Ensure accurate and timely gift acknowledgement correspondence.
  • Maintain files which relate to the donor records and/or grant purposes by uploading to the donor software (Raiser’s Edge).
  • Create donor profiles that include their history with Signal Centers, bio sketches, photos, and updates about their career and family events.
  • Develop an automated system of updating new or changed donor information across other platforms (e.g. e-blast lists, development staff records)

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management or a related field and two years of donor-centered fundraising and stewardship experience preferred. Additional experience in the field may be considered along with other combinations of educational backgrounds.
  • Strong knowledge of donor CRMs, specifically Raiser’s Edge preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • A team player, organized, and self-starter who practices discernment and discretion.
  • Track record of producing quality results with minimum supervision and guidance.
  • Believe in the mission of Signal Centers which is to strengthen children, adults and families through services focusing on disabilities, early childhood education and self-sufficiency.

PLEASE NOTE: our screening process includes a video interview completed via Spark Hire. Salary range is between $50K-$60K based on experience.
