County Field in Web View

Options

We noticed recently while participating in the EAP for web view navigation that there doesn't seem to be the ability to add or modify County data. We utilize County a lot. I mention it here because while that field appears in Query in web view, it doesn't seem to be functional. I get the bobbing green ball when I click it to try to utilize it in my Criteria section. Below is a screenshot of that as well as my addresses, which do have County in db view. This is going to be a big problem for us, as we use County for lots of event strategizing and also some government-mandated reporting for our School of Medicine. I have added an Idea but am afraid that isn't sufficient to get this into development ASAP. Can you pass this concern on to the right team?

@Amelia Ketzle, I've shared your feedback about the County field on records in web view, and I'll confirm it's on our list of improvements coming to web view constituents.

I'm seeing normal functionality with the county field when I test it. Are you still consistently seeing the same behavior with the loading ball? If so I'll file an environment-specific defect for you.

  • @David Springer - I tried it again today and got the same result, so I guess it's specific to our environment. If you could file that defect you mentioned, that would be great. For the record, I tried it in Preferred Address and All Addresses sections and got the same result.

@Amelia Ketzle, to confirm, are you seeing this behavior in the environment ending 8BGA? (you should see that in your RENXT URL if so. If not, feel free to email me your environment ID and I can confirm)

  • @David Springer - Yes, it was that environment, but today when I tried it (one more time, just to confirm), it worked as expected. Maybe we have an unusual number of values in our County table and it was having trouble loading it? Maybe there was an improvement made that sped up performance so it could more quickly load a large table like that? I tried a couple other tables that I know have a lot of values (our School Name table does), and didn't experience the bouncing green ball or the extremely sluggish loading we have sometimes seen in db view on those tables in Query. So unless it happens again, I'm satisfied assuming something like that was the explanation.
