How are you tackling end of the year STRESS!!!!

Year-end can be a very stressful time for non profits!! We are fundraising for the holidays, working on giving Tuesday - finalizing our sponsorship packets to be mailed the beginning of the year for our Spring Gala and so much more!!!! How are you tackling the end of year chaos?

@Jennifer Kluh Spending time in the moment with family, without screens/work talk/etc. makes a big difference for me. Deep breathing. Stretching. Taking my shoes off and walking barefoot in the grass, even in the cold. Kicking it with some kittens at our local cat cafe. Just doing happy stuff like that.

@Jennifer Kluh For me, stress translates to not doing self-care, which then cycles back to being more easily stressed. I found a very cute app called Finch (free!) where you get a little bird friend, and you set goals for yourself. When you check off those goals, your little bird gets rewards. My goals are things like Calming Breath, and when I click on that goal, the app does a little guided breathing exercise. Or, I have “Stand up and stretch!”. It may sound a bit cheesy, but it's helped me create a big mental shift this year over past years!
