Email Capabilities

Hello!

We want to send out monthly birthday emails to our constituents that are personalized. Does anyone have any suggestions or knowledge on the capabilities of NetCommunity? We want to do a personalized graphic with their names and maybe confetti? Or should we do a generic birthday email with a personalized subject line? I am still fairly new to NetCommunity and RE in general so any suggestions or points in the right direction would help!

David here from Blackbaud, it's great that you want to celebrate your constituent's birthdays.

I have to let you know that as of Raiser's Edge Patch 34, you will not be able to query RE birthdays from Raiser's Edge and send them emails via NetCommunity via query.

This is a result of Blackbaud encrypting those fields and you will get an error in BBNC trying to send the email, reference

The only way around this would be to export the data to excel from RE and then re import the data back into NetCommunity as a static email list:
