How to not use New Designer

I get asked a lot about this or have community member run into flow error b/c they were using New Designer.

So the question is, how not to use the “New” designer.

MS has intro the new designer not only to editing of flow, but also now to the “viewing” of run history.

I have found this to be very annoying as the “new” run history view is VERY processor intensive when you have a lot of actions in the flow. On the upper right corner of the flow (editor or viewer), you have the option to turn off “new designer”.

However, I recently notice that this “switch” doesn't always work, so if it doesn't, you can edit the URL to turn off the new designer (which is consider v3 of the designer).
