Overview

This feature provides a set of new Center-level attributes that currently are only available Site-wide.  Using this feature, Center administrators will have greater control over Center branding, particularly in the context of Autoresponders, which currently include Site-wide attributes, even when constituent interaction occurs at the Center level. 

Key Features

• Center Version of Site Name: This new configuration option provides the ability to include the Center's Public Name in the title of every Web page of the Center (unless overridden by a specific page wrapper), or in every site-wide Autoresponder sent out as a result of activity by a constituent on a Center page.
• Center-Level Contact Email Address: This configuration option provides the ability to specify the email address to which center-level notifications will be sent.
• Center-Level Autoresponder Envelope Information: This set of three new configuration options provides the ability to control key Center content elements of site-wide autoresponders that are sent in response to constituent activity within a Center.
  • Center-Level Autoresponder From Address: Use this option to configure the sender's email address for autoresponders sent in response to Center activity.
  • Center-Level Autoresponder From Name: Use this option to configure the from name for autoresponders sent in response to Center activity.
  • Center-Level Autoresponder From Reply To Address: Use this option to configure the reply to email address for autoresponders sent in response to Center activity.
• Center-Level Personal Fundraising Admin Email Address: This new configuration option provides the ability to enter the email address to notify when champions modify fund pages for Center-level Personal Fundraising.
• Center-Level Personal Fundraising Objectionable Content Email Address: This new configuration option provides the ability to specify the email address for objectionable content for Center-level Personal Fundraising.
• Center-Level TeamRaiser Admin Email Address: This new configuration option provides the ability to enter the email address to notify when participant personal pages are modified for Center-level TeamRaisers.
• Center-Level TeamRaiser Objectionable Content Email Address: This new configuration option provides the ability to enter the email address for Center-level TeamRaiser objectionable content.
• Merchant Account Tax ID: A Tax ID can now be specified when configuring a Merchant Account.
  

Use Scenario #1: Constituent receives “New User” Autoresponder from Center (instead of Site)

Montgomery, a Web visitor to the Austin Health Society, decides to sign up for the Austin Health eNewsletter.  He registers on the Center-version of the Austin Health Society sign-up form.  Moments later, he receives an autoresponder welcoming him to the Austin Health Society – there is no mention in the autoresponder of the parent affiliate site name, the “American Health Society”.

Use Scenario #2: Center-Level Tax IDs

Many months from now, in July of 2011, Stephanie, an administrator for the American Health Society National Headquarters will find out that she has an assignment to create a financial report of all donations on the American Health Society broken down by individual affiliate Tax IDs for calendar year 2010.  Thankfully, shortly after the Fall ’09 release, Stephanie had her Convio Support representative configure individual Merchant Accounts for each Center on the American Health Society site.  For each Merchant Account, she had the Tax ID for the corresponding American Health Society affiliate assigned.  In August 2011, Stephanie runs the Report Writer Transaction Detail report and pulls the Tax ID field; which she then uses to roll-up donations by Tax ID using a spreadsheet application.

Site Data Parameters

The following new Site Data Parameter was added as part of this project.  Please contact your Convio Support representative to change the default configuration for this Site Data Parameter.

• PAYMENT_REFUND_USE_SAME_TAX_ID: Controls what tax ID to record when a transaction is refunded. If set to TRUE, the refunded transaction will use the same tax ID as the original transaction. Otherwise, it will record the current tax ID value of the merchant account used for the original transaction (or the site default if not applicable). Default value = TRUE.

Client Impacts

• All features in this document will be available to all MultiCenter clients.
• Only the Merchant Account Tax ID will be available to non-MultiCenter clients.

FAQ

Can I report on the new Merchant Account Tax ID field?
Yes.  The field is available in the following reports:

• Report Writer Transaction Detail
• Report Writer Interaction Detail
• Report Writer TeamRaiser Gift Detail

Who is permitted to edit Center-Level Attributes?
Administrators with either of the following “Center Management” permission type roles can edit Center-Level attributes:

• Manage Centers
• Configure and Use Centers
