RE Install/Move

Hi Community,

I'm moving my RE install to a new server (eg. from Windows Server 2016 to Server 2019) and will be maintaining the same version of RE and the same server name. One step I woul like to avoid is running setup.exe from the Deploy folder on the new server. This is noted as Step 4 here - How to move to a new server (blackbaud.com)

Any thoughts on skipping Step 4 since the RE version and server name are not changing? We did some minimal testing by editting the local hosts file on a client to map the server name to the Server 2019's IP address (by-pass DNS that has the server name pointing to 2016) and it seemed to work.
