The Associate Director of Advancement at The Davis Academy will play a crucial role in advancing the school’s mission through strategic friend-raising and fundraising initiatives. This enthusiastic and dedicated professional is responsible for assisting the Director of Advancement with leading, planning and executing the school’s comprehensive fundraising plan. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of relationship building and successful fundraising within non-profit, philanthropic or educational environments. The Associate Director of Advancement will appreciate a fast paced and growth-oriented environment and will thrive in building and maintaining strong relationships.

Specific Duties Include:

· Assist Director of Advancement with leading, planning and executing the school’s comprehensive fundraising plan. Includes annual, programmatic, capital, legacy, endowment and special fundraising initiatives.

· Identify, cultivate, and solicit new and existing donors to secure gifts and meet the school’s overall fundraising goals.

· Coordinate key components of the Annual Campaign plan in conjunction with Board leadership and the internal advancement team. Includes developing and managing campaign structure and timeline, donor solicitations, donor stewardship and recognition, volunteer management and marketing of all fundraising efforts in collaboration with Annual Giving Manager.

· Manage the Georgia State Education Tax Credit/GOAL Scholarship Program fundraising efforts to meet GOAL funding objectives each year. Collaborates with volunteer leadership and the internal advancement team to manage solicitation process and timeline, ensure participation, participant stewardship and recognition, and marketing and communication of scholarship needs. Coordinates with GOAL’s SSO staff to ensure success.

· Support Director of Advancement in oversight of day-to-day advancement efforts including active engagement with volunteers and constituents throughout the school community, building effective working relationships with marketing, finance and admissions colleagues, providing direction to Gifts and Records Manager to ensure the data integrity, proper reporting and maintenance of the constituent data base.

· Cultivate positive relationships with donors, prospective donors, volunteers, administration, faculty and staff to ensure the school’s friend-raising and fundraising goals are met.

· Manage donor stewardship and donor appreciation efforts and events to increase donor retention and gift level.

Experience:

· Minimum 5 years of demonstrated leadership in successful fundraising within non-profit, philanthropic or educational environment.

· Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

· Excellent organizational, planning and management abilities.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

· Experience in fundraising strategy and execution.

· Outstanding communication skills.

· Donor-centric mindset.
