Gift-in-kind Description

Happy Thursday! I'm cleaning up some GIK records today as several years ago, the people who processed our donations put the GIK description in the reference field, but our current folks put that info in the misc. notes field on the gift, which is mapped to our acknowledgement letters.

I have found that the reference field in db view shows as comments in web view, but nothing on the misc tab shows in web view. Does anyone know if the gift misc tab will eventually all be viewable in web view? I hate to move all the old ones from reference to misc tab and then have BB say “yeah, we aren't building that out in web view.” Right now we have half in reference field and half in misc notes. Thanks!

Do they only fill out the Title of the Misc tab notes? I tested it in our database and we do get something on the notes tile of the gift.

@Rachel Cavalier That is on your constituent notes tab though, right? Not on the GIFT Misc notes tab?

@Rose Dixon No, this is on the Gift Misc tab notes and shows on the Gift notes tile.

@Rachel Cavalier Ok, now I see it on the pop up on the side when I click on the gift. I was looking at the layout when you click “work with gifts” and didn't see it as a column choice. Awesome, thanks!
