  • @Crystal Bruce we do a quarterly lunch and meeting for the entire team. We've also cut down on the length of our bi-weekly Development meetings and have moved to a bi-weekly internal newsletter for the whole staff. This has been really helpful in keeping people engaged.

  • @Crystal Bruce
We have a weekly team meeting to discuss what coming up but we also have a monthly team meeting where the purpose if to just brainstorm and float around new ideas for events and programing. I think having this less formal meeting once a month to just connect and brainstorm as a group has been really beneficial to the growth of attendance at our bigger events specifically.

  • @Crystal Bruce by having easy access to the administrator and felling free to ask them anything.

  • We have weekly team meetings, weekly individual meetings with our supervisor, and the broader organization does a monthly good news newsletter to all staff to keep everyone in the loop! @Crystal Bruce

  • @Crystal Bruce We have weekly one-one-one meetings with our supervisor to share what is on our plate and address any concerns and monthly team meetings for updates from our vice president.

  • @Crystal Bruce We keep our employees engaged and energized by providing monthly meetings that keep everyone updated on what has been happening in the organization, sharing success stories and wins! We also have a gong that we can ring whenever something exciting happens!

@Crystal Bruce Regular meetings with supervisor. We have a monthly ‘restaurant tour’ lunch out for all staff. Great for the socialites and foodies, but not a favorite for all. Staff meetings start with sharing successes.

@Crystal Bruce focusing on our mission of serving students, and continually improving to enhance and maximize their experience.

  • @Crystal Bruce in addition to monthly “all staff” meetings, we don't wait to share news/information. If there is something pertinent to everyone, whether it is updated operational information or uplifting feedback from a patron experience, everyone feels free to share in an “all staff” chat.

  • @Crystal Bruce We run a program each year called “Summer of Connections” that incorporates team building sessions, outside speakers (from a list of speakers suggested by the staff), and yes, half day Fridays from July to Labor Day.

  • @Crystal Bruce, my organization takes the time each month during a department-wide meeting to recognize accomplishments and give each other kudos. It's a great way to boost each other and keep the momentum going.

  • @Crystal Bruce We try to do staff outings at least every six months. They can be hit or miss, but it definitely gets you to meet someone who you don't work with each and every day.

  • @Crystal Bruce - We try to stay engaged with one another by creating an environment where “just checking in on you” is the norm. We do have staff meetings but when we celebrate someone's birthday or a holiday the atmosphere of sharing homemade baked goods or holiday treats seems to lend itself to a better/different connection.

  • @Crystal Bruce we have stand-up meetings with our administrative team every Thursday. We update each other on what is going on in our area and we include a high-low for personal connections. Everyone is to tell us a high in their household, something good going on, and a low, something that we should be aware in their household of or know to help them in the upcoming days.

  • @Crystal Bruce as a provincial organization with locations in multiple cities, we have monthly (virtual) all staff meetings. Representatives from our different areas share “Mission Moments", which are really helpful for people like myself who may not have the opportunity to see the difference our organization is making to families every day. I love it!

  • @Crystal Bruce We have informal conversations or check ins with our employees every 2 months. We do quarterly outings which are planned by each team. For example the construction team hosts a march madness watch party, our admin team hosts the annual Christmas party. Our development team hosted trivia and a hike at a local nature center in a park. Our family services team hosted a visit to the local African American Museum and a traditional Sunday lunch!
