Do all emails sent via TR require unsubscribe links by law? (Apart from donation receipts)

Options

Are any emails send via Team Raiser considered "transactional emails" - meaning these emails don't require "unsubscribe" links at the bottom? My understanding is the only "transactional emails" in Convio are donation receipts - are there other messages in Luminate that don't require unsubscribe links, such as coaching emails in Team Raiser?

    Laura,

Basically any email that is triggered by an action does not require an unsubscribe link. This can be a donation autoresponder, action alert AR, survey AR, etc. But if it is an email that you configure the send or even a constituent sends (like an eCard) then it must have an unsubscribe link.

    Hope this helps!

Emails that TeamRaiser participants send from the participant center (pc2) don't require one though, correct? My understanding was that TAF opt-outs are different from others and I've had the understanding this was automatically added to the email.

Sorry for the delay but with BBCon it was tough to get to those "in the know."

So TR messages basically use TAF functionality. TAF emails DO have to have an unsubscribe option. This allows someone who may not even have a record in Cons360 the ability to unsubscribe. There is a file stored in the back-end that admins can't access (not sure who can) that holds these emails and ultimately blocks everyone from sending that email a TAF or email message. Basically the person is saying "don't send me another email through this system" so we adhere to that.

    Hope this helps.
