Dual Institution - Constituent Relationship Conflicting

Options

My office represents both a medical school and a hospital and uses RE to track constituents of both.

We have a unique situation where a constituent has a positive relationship with one institution (X) and not with the other institution (Z). We want to be sure the constituent stays engaged with X but does not receive communications/invitations for Z. If we code as Do Not Contact they won't hear from either. Thoughts on how to conditionally include in X but not in Z communications?

TIA

@Annette Achilles Welcome to the community. In this case, I think you might have to have different coding for each institution. If you're using solicit codes, you might need a Do Not Email - Medical School and a Do Not Email - Hospital.

Some email tools allow you to create different buckets of individuals with separate unsubscribe lists. It's a little bit different for mail, but because you have the ability for constituents to have mismatched communication preferences, I would avoid using the DNC checkboxes and use solicit codes.
