Wage band range $75,0000.00 - $110,000.00 annually. However, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.

Under the guidance of the Chief Development Officer, the Raiser’s Edge Specialist is responsible for providing reports and data-based support to the Chief Development Officer, and their assignees. In addition to the database work and maintenance this position will be primarily responsible for creating and maintaining development reports, including oversight of maintenance of the Raiser’s Edge database, constituent records, and ensures proper allocation of incoming donations, timely donor acknowledgement as well as monthly reconciliation between Development and Financial Edge in the Finance Department. The Raiser’s Edge Specialist implements, maintains, and trains Development staff on Raiser’s Edge. The Raiser’s Edge Specialist will be the go-to person for event and mailing lists, reports, queries, and any gift/constituent information that needs to be imported or exported out of Raiser’s Edge. The Raiser’s Edge Specialist carries out the mission of Casa Pacifica as it pertains to statistical and administrative Raiser’s Edge database support.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains database integrity by working closely with Development staff to ensure accuracy in gift and constituent entries and responds quickly and accurately to requests for changes and updates to Raiser’s Edge. Performs regular queries to make sure data integrity is accurate.
  • Maintains Raiser’s Edge to ensure program enables maximum efficiency as a constituent relationship management system consistent with the organizations data entry guidelines.
  • Strategize and implement methodology for maximizing the efficient management of the organization’s constituents through the effective use of Raiser’s Edge.
  • Constituent management and donation entry: review and create individual donor, business and gift records to ensure accuracy and consistency in address listings, gift allocation, pledge payments, giving level, proper and personalized salutations, marital status, gender, matching gift agreements, contact information/limitations and any other information that is required by Development/Finance staff.
  • Creates and maintains data processing with reports, list pulls, complex queries, imports and exports using Raisers Edge NXT, Crystal Reports, and Excel.
  • Inputs data from various platforms into email marketing tools and websites in coordination with website administrator such as into online database platforms e.g., Mailchimp, maintenance of Net Community, Blackbaud on-line giving.
  • Contribute to the organization’s effective use of electronic communication by managing the Mailchimp integration process; works with the Marketing and Communication’s Team.
  • Manages the daily donation activity, including all online and offline giving, ensures that donations are accurately coded and credited to the appropriate constituent and that daily reconciliation and income reports are complete by the end of day. Acts as a liaison as well as a point person between Development staff and Finance Department.
  • Participates in annual financial audits on an as needed basis.
  • Assists and trains other Development staff on the use of Raiser’s Edge and creates dashboards and other data analysis tools to track fundraising goals and results.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all matters within the organization with respect to personnel, operations, and clients.
  • Take the requisite Blackbaud courses to ensure proficiency in Raiser’s Edge.
  • Maintain proficiency in Raiser’s Edge by participating in workshops, webinars, and training sessions.
  • Must be able to pass the Raiser’s Edge Fundamentals exam and pass the Raiser’s Edge Professional Exam with-in 60 days of hire and annually thereafter.
  • The Development Office functions as a team. All Development staff are required to help with all functions within the department and may perform other duties as assigned from time to time.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. They must have excellent written and oral skills. They must be detail oriented, and focused, yet adaptable and responsive and have excellent critical thinking skills and must work well with others. They must have database experience, with Raiser’s Edge. Must be fluent with Microsoft Office products (especially MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Edge). Must be fluent in Blackbaud, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Outlook. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Position requires working evenings and weekends on fundraising events.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • B.S. degree in accounting or equivalent job experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years Raiser’s Edge experience
  • 4-6+ years administrative experience

CREDENTIALS: Word processing certificate, a plus. Blackbaud certification in Raiser’s Edge NXT and Raiser Edge preferred.
