Automatic Posting to GL

Options

Hi everyone!

Has anyone “taken the plunge” and started to automatically post from Billing Management to NXT?

We are curious to hear feedback from those who have started using it.

Thank you in advance,

Margaret

Hi Margaret! We've been using the Direct Post to GL for a number of months now. I will say that my experience has been very positive. First of all the amount of time that I save by using that tool is significant. No more need to export into excel, clean up and all the steps we each take, import, post in GL, back and mark post in BBBM. This process creates a clean journal entry that you can preview in BBBM and then submit as unposted journal in GL.

Combined with the option to post to cash account in summary (you can choose by batch) with the option to post BBMS to a clearing account, its a pretty powerful tool. It's also bidirectional which the original post functionality wasn't. When you post in GL, it will mark the batch posted in BBBM and it adds the Journal number to the batch in BBBM with a link so you can click into the journal entry directly from Billing Management.

We may have had one small glitch early on which I think was user error (mine) but it has been a very stable widget since we turned it on. (you can turn it off if you need to – I've never turned it back off and I would check with Support before turning it off).

I truly think the time savings piece alone will make it worth it for you combined with its stability, I would encourage you to consider it. Plus you have two places to interface with the posting… you create the batch > submit it > validate the post > post.

Happy to talk with you directly if you want more information!
