Week 13 – Bring Your Own Data

Options

We recognize that one of the key challenges to the ESG and CSR roles is collecting disparate data across your organization. Our product vision for Impact Edge is to help simplify this data collection and provide more of your data in one location for monitoring and reporting – and making your life much easier! You likely have critical ESG/CSR data in other applications, spreadsheets, and databases in addition to data in Impact Edge. We want you to be able to “Bring Your Own Data” to the Impact Edge functionality. This may be in the form of documents uploaded into the Copilot or structured data imported to the dashboard. We would love to better understand your needs and wants for integrating data. Some guiding questions for this week:

  • What is your biggest challenge with collecting and organizing data for reporting?
  • What tool(s) are you using in addition to Blackbaud solutions that house data?
  • Do you want to be able to upload/organize your data into Impact Edge?
  • What kind of data do you want to bring in?

    Here is some feedback from myself and Crystal Adams on behalf of Crowe LLP

    • What is your biggest challenge with collecting and organizing data for reporting?
      • Data coming from too many sources. Time-consuming to pull it into one and format the data. Difficult to then try to decide the best format.
    • What tool(s) are you using in addition to Blackbaud solutions that house data?
      • Excel
      • Workday
    • Do you want to be able to upload/organize your data into Impact Edge?
      • Definitely
    • What kind of data do you want to bring in?
      • Excel workbooks
      • Internal stories (News)
      • Videos
      • Social Media Platform links
      • More ESG and CSR Benchmark reports

    Miscellaneous Notes/Wants:

    • Co-Pilot doesn’t seem to be pulling data from Grants Connect and CSR Connect. Is it in the plan to include/capture this data in Co-Pilot?
    • Market Data Dashboard: Dashboard with all Market Data (Grants, Volunteering, Board Membership, Giving etc.)
    • Create our own Company dashboard for what is important to us.
    • Dashboard to match company brand…similar to how YourCause and GrantsConnect are customized to match our brand.
    • Alter filters. We need to see the data by our local offices and by org location. Ability to remove filters that do not apply to our org.
    • On the Home page Impact Snapshot only goes back 90 days. Can it go back further?

    Here are some specific answers to your notes/wants:

    • Co-Pilot doesn’t seem to be pulling data from Grants Connect and CSR Connect. Is it in the plan to include/capture this data in Co-Pilot? Currently only public data is available in Copilot for EAP. We are working on connecting Copilot to your Grants Connect/CSR Connect/Everfi data now.
    • Market Data Dashboard: Dashboard with all Market Data (Grants, Volunteering, Board Membership, Giving etc.) Could you tell us more about what you mean by “Market Data”?
    • Create our own Company dashboard for what is important to us.
    • Dashboard to match company brand…similar to how YourCause and GrantsConnect are customized to match our brand. We are working on enabling themes for Impact Edge to allow you to add logos/colors to Impact Edge
    • Alter filters. We need to see the data by our local offices and by org location. Ability to remove filters that do not apply to our org. Customizable filters is on the roadmap.
    • On the Home page Impact Snapshot only goes back 90 days. Can it go back further? We have heard this from other customers as well - what preset time frames would be useful to you?
