Filters, view mode only being saved to Session Storage?

Is there a roadmap to persistent views, or a way for a student to save their preferred view of their assignment center? Right now it looks like the view mode and filters are being saved into Session Storage, which is only around as long as the browser tab is open, so they would have to be reset every time the student returns to the page.
