Hi, Any idea of when we can process a Direct Debit EFT File through BBMS?

    @Zainab Abdulatef - Welcome to BB Community forums! It depends on where the gift came in. If it came through an NXT donation form, BB auto-processes these, but if it came through say a OLX form or was manually entered, here's a Knowledgebase Article that includes instructions on how to process direct debit donations:


  • @Zainab Abdulatef, are you asking for Direct Debit processing through BBMS in USA or in Canada. I think BBMS DD is not yet available in Canada.

    I'm just going to reiterate my 2 cents here that we don't use BBMS for direct debit charges. Our bank charges us zero fees for uploading an ACH file, so we keep 100% of the donation. We still process in database batch though.

    I’m wondering about manually entered, Process through EFT, I believe B will allow charge them through BBMS in Australia but not sure when exactl?

    We are in the USA, unfortunately, not Australia. The bank upload is a service provided directly through our bank's corporate customer portal. It is the same interface that our org uses for its direct deposit paychecks for employees. So if your org does direct deposit for paychecks, there's a good chance you can process donations through that medium as well. You would need to ask your accounting office if that is a service offered by your bank.

    We extract the file from RE through database view Batch - create EFT Transmission Files, and then upload the encrypted file into our bank's online processor portal.

    As Austen said, Support are the best place to ask. There was something in the last product update briefing in November 2023 (here's the link to the relevant archive page).

    From my product update briefing notes, for Canada, UK, Australia and Europe they were planning to have something for this by the end of 2024 - but of course, with the usual disclaimer that “functionality and timeframe” were subject to change at any time. I'm looking forward to seeing what comes for the UK.
