File attachment issue

Is anyone else having issues with students' ability to attach files to an assignment? Our middle schoolers have jumped in and are using the new assignment center on a regular basis. Within the last week to ten days, we've had issues with students not being able to attach a file to submit on an assignment.

This is happening with pdf, images, and videos. The green circle just pulses and the file does not attach. It is happening with direct file attachment and sometimes with the Google Drive option. Usually we can get it to work by closing out the assignment and trying again, but not always. The students are using iPads/Chrome browser with the most up to date versions.

Closing out and reopening the assignment isn't terrible, but the students find it frustration and they don't always have the patience to try again. :/

    I haven't had the issue popup in my testing. I advise reaching out to Support so they can document the instances where it's occurred and get a ticket up to our team to have addressed.

    Is there anything in common with the files that are uploaded that you've noticed, or has it entirely been random so far?

    At first it happened with direct video attachments, so I thought the files might be too large. I had students upload to Google Drive and try to attach from there. Sometimes it worked as expected and sometimes the students had to log out of BB and log back in to get the file/link to attach. By Friday morning, I was getting reports from teachers of students having the same issue with directly attaching PDFs and Word documents. I'm not ruling out a network/time out issue on our end, but wanted to try and narrow it down in case it is just an “us” issue.

  • Just an update – this seems to have resolved itself. It may have been a network issue on our end, but I haven't had any reports of issues this week.
