Updating credit card info in database view

When updating expiry dates on a recurring gift in data base view, we have noticed that if you do not update or overwrite the actual credit card information, the next gift declines with a message stating the credit card information is incorrect. We used to be able to just update the expiry if the donor indicates the card number is the same.
Has something changed now or is this a glitch?

    @Kathy Stewart Welcome to the BB Community forums.

    When you are updating, where is this happening? Do you store card info on Bio 2 tab? Is card info entered on pledge/recurring gift record? Are you just putting a different expiration date on the line in batch or on a gift record?

    I have not encountered this problem, yet. But I do believe card info has to be updated on the pledge/recurring gift record when running a payment/pay-recurring. It will default back to that info when you link it.
