Crowdstrike Falcon malware scan in cloud storage

Options

Yesterday when right-clicking to paste a file into the cloud, I noticed a new option – at least I think it's new: Crowdstrike Falcon malware scan. Is anyone familiar with this? Does anyone use it? I trust it's anti-malware and not malware itself masquerading as something legitimate. ? I searched for the term in Knowledgebase and nary a hit came back.

  • @James Kew Curious to know if you found an answer to this question!

  • @Christine Robertson Unfortunately, no. I'm as clueless as I was then. ?

While I'm pretty sure the option you speak of is likely a “local app” that has been installed on your computer, where are you right clicking to see this?

Alex, when I right-click in RE NXT cloud storage (either Tenant File Share or My Documents), the options I see are View, Sort By, Group By, Refresh, Customize this folder…, Paste, Paste Shortcut, Crowdstrike Falcon Malware Scan, New and Properties. If I right-click in OneDrive storage or This PC/Documents, there are different options and I don't see the Crowdstrike Falcon Malware Scan option. Perhaps this WAS installed by the IT folks here and by design only appears when I am working in the NXT cloud?

I see, so it's the “remote file folder”.

I see it too, it is the software installed on the blackbaud hosting remote systems as anti-malware software. Not on your computer. This is legit from Blackbaud.

Thank you so much, Alex. I appreciate your help and wish you a Happy New Year!
