    @Michelle Taylor We confirmed it's 5 units of the LO base currency.

  • @Kent Gilliam Hi Everyone, looks like there are already some great solutions on this post. Here is Doing Good Digital's take on how to update TR for the latest change:

  • @Kent Gilliam
    Here's our implementation in plain javascript (borrowing VERY heavily from the awesome Yeeboo/Jeremy R jquery version):

    https://github.com/kbooth1000/luminate-online-code-snippets/blob/codespace-kbooth1000-zany-space-meme-vgxqg7r7p92xrgw/TeamRaiser/pc-email-disabled-show-message.html

    Very similar functionality to that solution, but slightly different handling, in that instead of completely hiding the pc's email features when a participant hasn't met qualifications, it just grays out and disables those features – showing that they are available, just not enabled yet. Also, first time a non-qualifying participant logs in, it shows a large message about disabled email – on subsequent visits, there is a small, inconspicuous message instead of no message at all. When the participant meets requirement, the message disappears completely, of course.

    @Kent Gilliam hi all… just a note that some scammers have discovered that they can take advantage of ACH payment ability to fool the $5 limit process we put in place. Communication is going out to let everyone know that to address this we will be making ACH not a qualifier for the $5 minimum. So be on the lookout for that communication. If you don't utilize ACH then obviously this will not affect your events.

    But know that we continue to discuss this and options we may have. So stay tuned!

    @Kyle Booth love this!

    There's not a lot we'll be able to do to separate out ACH and non-ACH, it'd be wild if it's even possible (API calls feeding to multiple additional calls, then JS to do math and process it, both for the self-donations and the gifts received!).

    We're def going to need something from the BB side to fix the problem going forward.

    In the meantime, existing code will still continue to work, but will get the wrong answer for anyone who was ACH (those folks will think they're in the clear, but end up not being).

    @Jeremy Reynolds… I just shared this feedback with the core team. Hoping maybe we can figure something out. I'll let you know. We meet as a team tomorrow morning.

  • @Kent Gilliam We have some TeamRaisers that only make use of the Team fundraising page, in order to accept gifts to the team (not to any individual participants). That means the Team Captain cannot use the email functionality, as team gifts don't count towards the $5 minimum (per Support). Has anyone else encountered this scenario, and found a solution? Obviously transferring credit for $5 of one of the gifts to the captain would work, but we have custom fundraising progress ‘thermometers’ on the team pages that would then be inaccurate.

    Thanks in advance for any insight!

    Hi @Erik Domingo … you are correct that team gifts do not qualify a participant as raising the $5 minimum. They could make a self-donation at registration. But obviously you're not tracking gifts to the individuals. I'm curious why the team gifts only strategy since individual gifts to participants on a team still roll up to the team level.

    I will say that we are working on the next phase of addressing this but if that does work, it won't be available till likely Q4.
