Autoresponder with link to participant center

Options

I'm configuring autoresponders for event participants and I'm having difficulty finding where to personalize the link to the participant center. I've found how to embed the participant center but can't seem to find where to just have it link to the person who is receiving the autoresponder. Is that possible even?

Thanks!

All you do is the normal link creation. Then when it asks where you want the link to go in TR it will give you a drop-down. There you can enter "Participant Center" and then it will make it dynamic so whichever participant the AR is sent to it will configure the link so it will send them to their PC.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi Kent,

Thanks for the reply. I see three options when I edit the AR. The second one for the Participant Center actually embeds the PC into the email. I'm just looking to insert the URL...Am I missing some components to select from?

You need to create a link and then use the link tool. So you can create a button or text, highlight it and then use the link tool. In the link config you'll choose TeamRaiser and then in step 2 of the link config it gives you options where the link is to go.

Can you update that on the blueprint level and then the child page's autoresponders will dynamically change to the correct PC in the child event?

Yes. Basically the code it generates leaves an open TR event ID that is filled in based on the ID for the event that the message is being used in. So it's dynamic for whatever event the code is in.

  • Kent,

I must also be missing something here.  The code that returns for me is specific for the TR I used in the link tool.  I need to be able to use the link for any TR.

    Confused

    Hi Jeffrey...

So your blueprint URL for Participant Center should be something like this:

    http://shortname.convio.net/site/TRC?fr_id=[[S42:0:fr-id]]&pg=center

This will make it so your child event takes on the ID of that specific fr_id.

    That help?
