Is OLX the right tool for setting up Requests for More Information?

Options

I have a client who is revamping their system for capturing requests for more information. (They already have a vendor who is doing the creative and structure of their site.)

They currently have several forms where someone can request different types of information, to take a tour etc. That form generates an email that is sent to various people within the organization. The information just shows up as text in the email. We would like to centralize the capture of the information and have it sent to a centralized person who could indicate whether or not they want that information to be imported into RE. If the info should go into RE, then they would indicate that and the info would be imported directly.

Or a second option would be to have the info go into a centralized csv file which could be imported via Importacular or using the RE import tool.

Additionally, they would like to be able to customize (with text and photos) the form so that the branding goes with the rest of the website. (They would also like to customize the donation form that is currently set up via the tool in NXT). Are you aware of any plugins/ad ons that can do this? Or has anyone used BB web services to create something like this? Thanks!

@Carolyn Copp - I recommend you take a look at Power Automate for this, rather than repurposing an area of the database where you'll either not get everything you want or it will be a confusing user experience on the front end. You could set up various forms through Microsoft Forms (Office 365) or another third-party survey app (Survey Monkey, Cognito Forms, etc.) - from there have the data come into a Power Automate flow in real-time have it go into a spreadsheet to be decided on/imported later or build conditional logic (with approvals) into the flow so the staff can make real-time decisions and have the data recorded within RE automatically depending on that decision.

Check out this blog I wrote about utilizing Power Automate with Raiser's Edge NXT data:

  • @Austen Brown Thanks…I've needed a good excuse to dive into PowerAutomate…I'm actually planning on attending the webinar that they are offering. Thanks for the blog post and the kick to do this!
