in EAP for Assessment Builder in Blackbaud Learning Management System™

Hi Everyone -

We wanted to quickly send a ‘Thank you’ for all of you who participated in the EAP for the new assessment experience. You may have noticed that we added some banners and videos throughout the software highlighting the new experience. That's because the builder will be going live to schools in waves over the course of the next week and a half.

This wouldn't have been possible had it not been for your willingness to dive into a new feature and relay feedback to us about it. From the LMS Team at Blackbaud, we want you to know how grateful we are for all of your help.

Over the course of this EAP, you all helped us to bring the following features to the experience:

  • Ability to add Files to questions
  • Ability to Extend the Due Date for a student more intuitively
  • Ability to Print
  • Ability to add Matching questions
  • A more intuitive ‘Mark Ready’ workflow
  • A student submission icon / time stamp on the evaluation screen

We also wanted to include some analytics for all of you, because we think data is interesting and maybe you do too.

  • Total number of New Assessments made during EAP: 1,113
  • Total number of Students viewing their result screen during EAP: 47,080
  • Total number of Parents viewing the results of their child's assessment during EAP: 1,024
    • This number surprised me a little bit. I knew it wouldn't be anywhere near the student number, but I didn't expect it to be this big of a difference.
  • Total number of Prints generated during the EAP: 333
  • Total number of Matching questions added during the EAP: 62
  • The total number of teachers adding additional prompts during the EAP: 166
    • Because of this number, we may increase the default number of prompts in the future if this number scales after go-live.

We know that there are still some features that need to come to this experience to really make it fulfill teachers' needs. We're looking into Reporting, converting from old assessments into new, and the potential of a question bank / question sharing feature.
