Functionality for Emoticons in Email Subject Lines

I'm in a new position, working for an organization that uses NetCommunity for all of our fundraising appeal emails. The direct integration with Raisers Edge is of course very helpful, but I'm finding that there are some standard things that you can do with applications like MailChimp or Constant Contact that aren't possible with NetCommunity.

The most frustrating thing I've found so far is that NetCommunity doesn't support adding emojis to the subject lines of emails. This is a pretty common (and proven) tactic for increasing email open rates.

Have others also been frustrated by this issue? Maybe if enough people speak up here, we can get Blackbaud to address this in a future update.

@Benjamin Thurber Hi Benjamin. I'm not sure if there is a solution, but have you looked at the Idea Bank? If you go to the Net Community Idea Bank and then search “emoji” you should be able to see the suggestion made to add emojis in subject lines, and you can vote for it. It looks like this suggestion doesn't have enough votes to be implemented yet.
