Does anyone else have trouble linking banks in with Direct Debit donations in OLX?

Often you must first create a new bank entry if the bank does not exist on the donor's record. This also means you must sometimes add a new bank to your Config tables in the process. I haven't had problems myself, but could see room for a number of issues if, for example, your user doesn't have security privileges to add or edit banks, or if the bank is not being marked “Primary” when entering, or if there's a button being missed.

@Faith Murray Thank you for responding. It seems that you should be able to link to a bank or add a bank right from the OLX plug in when linking. My work-around too, has been to write down the banking info, then go to Config and add the Bank, and then Link. It just seems cumbersome, and I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something. I don't think we have been marking the bank as ‘Primary' so perhaps on a repeat (not recurring) gift, it isn't auto matching and we are having trouble that way. We do have rights in Config, and have had to get those for the person taking over my job as gift processor. I do notice that every time we run a DD, it seems to be creating a new bank on the record - so I need to research that as well. I'm not sure of the error message…will need to re-create.
