I work for a school and we have been using Connect RE to import new constituents from the Education Core side (AKA from our registrar) into Raisers Edge. I have noticed that when new students are brought into the system, the only relationship that carries over is their parents. So if the student has a sibling, those two records are not connected through a sibling relationship. Is there a way to efficiently update all constituents who have the same parents to make them siblings? I can't seem to find any other topics on this or figure out how to even start writing a query for this. Thanks!

@Tyler OBanion - we have been using ConnectRE since 2015. I just looked at some of our records - and I believe this is a change that happened sometime after September of 2020. Our students become constituents when they start their 8th grade year. Students who graduated in 2021 ARE sibling relationships to their alumni siblings - but - students who graduated in 2022 ARE NOT sibling relationships to their alumni siblings.

To find those relationships - I would run a constituent export of all the students - and include one parent in the output - along with any sibling relationships that might already be on the student record. Then - sort by the parent to find the children that are not linked as siblings. You could then do a relationship import to connect them.

Anyone reading this, even if you don't use Connect RE, please go to the Idea bank and vote for Idea 6065 - since sibling relationships ought to be something that is included in the ConnectRE integration. Your colleagues who use ConnectRE appreciate the support.
