What is it?

With exponential growth in online giving, reducing costs associated with processing online transactions is mission critical for social good organizations. Introduced in late 2021 to US customers, Complete CoverTM is a relatively new yet proven model that covers your organizations payment processing fees so you receive 100% of your supporter’s gift or event registration. With Complete Cover your supporters are asked at checkout to voluntarily contribute toward overall processing costs. Blackbaud will cover the processing costs no matter what the supporter decides for gifts up to $3,000 CAD, so your organization receives free processing for eligible online transactions.

By participating in this EAP, you can bring more net revenue in for your mission. Nearly all organizations that have participated in the US EAP and Limited Availability programs have asked us to keep Complete Cover enabled for their forms. We believe you will have a similar experience and we value your feedback.

Donor Cover will be an secondary option for customers not wishing to use Complete Cover.  With Donor Cover, the donor has the same voluntary option to contribute towards processing fees however, this contribution is passed onto your organisation and processing fees are deducted from the transaction as it does today. 

Our intention is to make Complete Cover available by default to all Canadian customers very soon but are looking to gather your collective thoughts on the feature and identify a couple of participants to help with final testing.  If you would be willing to discuss the feature and/or help with testing, please let me or Poornima know.
