Badges Kit images won't load in Photoshop Elements. Ideas?

Options

I am eager to deploy the new badges kit after last week's seminar in Cambridge, but I have Adobe Photoshop Elements, not full Photoshop.  I don't know if it's the number of images in the badge file or what, but I get a number of "unknown data has been encountered" errors followed by a "failure to open" message.  Elements should be more than adequate for the kind of editing we would need for setting up these badges, if only I could get the files to open.  Is there a quick modification you could do to the file on your end that would make them work?

    Jeri,

Try this attached file and let me know if it works for you.

The "badge.psd" file is a lot of examples and options and the "achievement_badges.psd" file is some standard badges used with the "out of the box" badges and milestones.

Thanks for the quick turnaround, Kent! The Achievement Badges file now opens fine. The Badge file still has me click through what seems like 20 or so messages about encountering data it can't process and discarding layers, but eventually gets to a point where the file opens with half a dozen layers - a t-shirt, a ball, a shield, a star, a text ($100), and a ribbon.  I am not sure if that is all it is supposed to contain, or if I lost a lot in the process.

It's enough for me to work with, though.  Thanks again!

I think you may have all of the layers. Really all that is there is a lot of shapes. I think what is causing the error is some of the shapes I created using the shape tool in the full Photoshop. Here's the layers you should see:
