Will Blackbaud Checkout need an update before it starts working with more browsers once Apple releases their update to Apple Pay?

Currently Apple Pay via Apple Wallet only supports the Safari browser on recent model iOS/Apple devices.

This update will soon allow other browsers including Chrome, Edge, and Firefox to work with Apple Pay, which Blackbaud Checkout implements.

Some of the code in the Blackbaud Checkout implementations I've seen uses javascript to detect the device and User Agent to present the Apple Pay button only when supported.

If an update to existing giving pages that use Blackbaud Checkout will need to be made, or if we will have to wait longer for the additional browser support, please make an announcement and provide updates and instructions to your users.

Thanks for the question. We had to get to the right team but this is already being discussed as it will require some updates on our end. Not exactly sure if it will require anything for clients to do since Blackbaud Checkout is a modal instance of a form but I can confirm our team is discussing this now and should have documentation and communication coming in plenty of time for any necessary changes.

Any update on this? We noticed this week that our existing Blackbaud Checkout forms we built using your guide are no longer working. The modal popup that used to display the wallet options after selecting a gift amount and clicking submit is now broken for at least the past 24 hours, making us very glad we didn't decide to launch sooner. @Joe Hahn Can you post the URL to the form? The recent 22.6 release included ACH as a payment option and there is a new workflow. Some organizations have reported some issues due to css conflicts.

@Erik Leaver Thanks. Is there a demo kit available that accounts for the changes in 22.6? I'm sure we can work from that.
