The Current WYSIWYG in the D&D is not up to par compared to the WYSIWYG i used to write this msg

Options

Hi guys,

I was using the D&D to create a mock email to test with our graphics and marketing branding and I shocked to find out how little I could do. I will share my thoughts and the first one is the WYSIWYG.

Holy cow, I didn't know the WYSIWYG we were using is an inferior product compare to the WYSIWYG I am using to write this message. A lot of the features missing in the D&D WYSIWG are shown here. You need a dedicated Headings and Paragraph font sizes, not in pixels but in REM's at least for quality control across multiple platforms. The D&D WYSI doesn't have the emoji button, the ordered / unordered list button, the blockquote, the increase / decrease indent, file uploading, media uploading, etc.

You are missing the preheader text area, it is very important to have that module included in the emails. Ability to insert an emoji in the subject line is very important if we are to have emojis. If we are going to use a WYSIWYG, then let's get the correct one right out the gate. We cannot have a subpar version.

We need more fonts than the 9 fonts available, the ones offered are the common web safe fonts but there are more web safe fonts that we can use to create an elegant message. Constant Contact & Stripo both offer 40 fonts as part of their basic tool and we got 9. We can do better than 9.

we don't need a universal padding

The padding section cannot be universal, we need the ability to control each individual padding parameters. If you keep it universal, all you are doing is centering the content and content centering is not the ideal goal.

For now that is all I got, i am not tearing down the product but i put myself in the shoes of a non tech person, someone who is only familiar with Google Docs or Microsoft words. If we were to launch this right now, we would switch back to Classic almost immediately. Hope to hear some feedback, have a great evening.
