A/B test only appears for sent messages?

Help! I'm not practiced at running A/B tests but I want to set one up. When I go into LO in my email tab and find the message I want to run a test on, the A/B test option is not there. But if I look at sent messages, I do see the test option. Why would that only appear for sent messages and not unsent messages, which is the one I want to actually test? Is it me or is it Luminate? Thanks!!

  • LO is really a hybrid system with several email sub-systems, not all of which have capabilities for A/B testing (for example, TeamRaiser Coaching Emails and AutoResponders don't).

    Just to be sure, did you navigate to the page you're looking at via LO Admin Menu > Email drop-down > Email Campaigns, followed by Campaigns tab > Manage link > Messages Tab?

  • I actually figured out that the message has to be approved before it will give the option to set up an AB test. So I'm ok now! Thanks!
