Question: Have you used the device to take live transaction yet?

Options

Happy Thursday!

As Whitney is out this week, I have a couple brief questions for the group. Please reply in the community and as always, all feedback (good and bad) is welcome.

  • Have you used the device to take live transactions yet?
    • If yes:
      • On a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being highly satisfied), how satisfied are you with the new MobilePay Terminal Application?
      • On a scale of 1 - 5 (5 being highly satisfied), how satisfied are you with the WisePad 3 device?
    • If no, do you have events or plans to use the device to process live transactions? If so, when?

Final Question for this week: If you could change one thing about your experience with MobilePay Terminal to make it better for you, what would you change?

Thank you all in advance for your feedback! Appreciate your time and support.

  • We have done numerous tests and have done a few live transactions. I think at the end when everything works well, we would give it a 4 or 5. Currently just a 3 or 4. We still cannot do tap with Visa cards. Tried a few visa cards and all are the same. It would also be nice to be able to get a stand for the device. Etsy has them but they do not deliver to Canada.

  • We have not processed live transactions yet. Most of our use will be focused around community events (3rd party), and with summer just around the corner, and a return to in-person events, we may see some usage later this month, and definitely in July, August and into the fall.

Thanks Mark! I have the team following up on the Visa issue, and will let you know when we learn more.

  • Hi - used it at our golf tournament last week for some transactions. Both tap and insert were fine, didn't try interac debit since we can't refund them yet. The biggest problem was that it is much more cumbersome than using a bank handheld POS terminal. You've got your phone/tablet and then then Wisepad device separately so a lot of juggling if you are not seated at a table. That really didn't work for volunteers who were circulating selling raffle tickets. The idea of the old mobile pay devices where they were actually plugged in to your phone or tablet was easier in that sense. If it could be one handheld device, it was be 10 times easier to use. For table use, a stand would be helpful.
